As reported in the Tenerife News website, nine out of ten of the winning lottery number drawn last Saturday hailed from Santa Cruz.
For only 12 euros some punters have scooped 100,000 euros. Quite a few people have been using the same number for years, automatically carrying it over week after week, and for their patience they have finally been rewarded with a number they will never forget. In these hard economic times this win has made quite a few people in Santa Cruz very happy indeed.
Well, happy as I am for all the winners, I just hope that there is tiny bit of luck left over for me for tomorrow’s Euromillions!
