I am surprised that this Youtube clip of Carlos Baute and Marta Sánchez singing Colgando En Tus Manos still works given the battering my daughter gives it every day.  In fact we all make quite an alarming racket murdering the lyrics out loud…

If she was just a little bit older I would love to take her to the concert in Candelaria on July 31st where Carlos Baute and Marta Sanchez will be singing  together in the for the finale of the Festival de Candelaria from 10 PM at the  Plaza Patrona de Canarias.

caleta

I’ve received a couple of emails lately from people who would like to sell their Tenerife property. Don’t know why they are sending to me as the blog is called Tenerife TATTLE not Tenerife Tatler, Jings! I have my doubts that most of TT’s readers have  two ha’pennies to rub together never mind a couple of hundred thousand stashed in the mattress but, sigh, I live to serve.

caleta2I thought this 3 bedroom property looked a real humdinger and at €40,000 less than its nearest market comparable (so they tell me) it is a bargain at only €375,000.  That’s even cheaper than some of its two bedroom neighbours despite being decorated and furnished throughout.

The property is located in La Caleta and the owner wants a quick sale. I tell you what, if they throw in that telescope I might be tempted.

Contact me if you are interested in the property and I’ll pass your details along.

Tenerife Wine TourLa Guagua del Vino or Wine Bus might sound like something you fall off after missing a couple of meetings with your AA buddy but actually it is a scholarly tour round the vinyards for those who want to learn something and not at all intended as a vehicular version of a booze cruise.

There are various routes all intended to showcase the beauties of the north of Tenerife and its surroundings. The tours last a half day or full day depending on whether you join one which includes lunch and a typical itinerary will see you take in some local scenery and stopping at one or two  vinyards for ‘degustación’ before heading on for a meal or returning to Santa Cruz.

There are also ‘A La Carte’ tours on offer where you can decide on the itinerary that suits you and a ‘Weekend Tour’ that involves two nights accommodation in a rural guest house.

For more information you can visit the Rutas Y Vinos website or contact the Enotourism office:
