A couple of months ago I wrote an article regarding the sneaky surcharges that airlines impose which in effect make a joke of their promoted prices. Surprise, surprise, at the time I wrote that article about airline surcharges, Ryanair was showing a great deal of creativity and flair in the number of ways they routinely upped that promotional price.
Damian Corrigan of Go To Spain recently questioned Stephen McNamara, Ryanair’s Head of Communications about the airline’s hidden charges and non-compliance with OFT regulations. For example did you know that if you pay by credit card for flights for a family of four that you will be charged a credit card fee for each member of the family? Each way!
If you are looking for the cheapest flights to Tenerife and stumble upon promotional flights offered by Ryanair read Damian’s article and peruse Ryanair’s published fee schedule before making your decision. Chances are if you elect to pay a little more upfront, you’ll end up with a much better deal.
You might also want to look at some comments regarding Ryanair’s extortionate baggage check-in fees published in the Guardian.
And lastly some customer reviews: I Hate Ryanair
